Our Team

John is a passionate adventurer and grew up loving the outdoors. After graduating Queens University/BSCH, John became a licensed pilot and has flown balloons in over 30 countries. He spent 3 years enjoying the Serengeti in Africa, 6 years in Australia, and 2 years in India. He has led many adventures, including flying over the Rocky Mountains, flying to a height over 37,000 feet, flying over St. Petersburg (Russia) and completing a discovery channel documentary in Hudson Bay. John has also led several expeditions on Baffin Island, including having traveled its entire length by snowmobile 3 times. He plans, manages and leads every Baffin Safari tour.

Cindy helps manage Baffin Safari in Ottawa when everyone else is up north working the tours. Someone has to manage the finances while John is spending his time in places with only limited satellite communication.

Carley has been involved in everything Baffin Safari - greeting clients in Ottawa, social media, arranging for gear to be expedited up north, and even being on some tours. Carley still manages to always have a smile.

Jeremiah is from Colorado but passionate about guiding in the arctic. Friends with John, he is a seasoned outdoorsman and was part of John’s very first Baffin expedition.

Eric got his start helping with the logistics and send offs in Ottawa. In 2023 he made the trek from Iqaluit to Pond Inlet via snowmobile, traversing over thousands of kilometers of challenging Arctic tundra and spending months living on the land. Whether he is making sure basecamp is operating smoothly or leading you to the amazing sights and experiences the Arctic has to offer, Eric has proved himself to be an invaluable member of the team.

Jenny is a photo ambassador for Polar Bears International, a Royal Canadian Geographic Fellow and travel ambassador, and a National Geographic YourShot contributor. Her work has been published by Elle Canada, Uphere Magazine, Canadian Geographic, and Travel and Leisure. Some of the brands she has worked with include Nikon, Gitzo, PolarPro, Canada Goose, Travel Manitoba, Travel Nunavut, and Explore Canada.

Meet Nelson, a seasoned system software architect that has a profound passion for wildlife photography. Over time, he has specialized in photographing birds of prey and the Arctic wildlife. Nelson’s unique blend of technical prowess and an adventurous spirit has allowed him to create images that not only showcase the remarkable creatures of the Arctic but also convey the importance of conservation and preservation of this fragile ecosystem. Through his lens, he also strives to capture the raw and pristine magnificence of this remote and frigid landscape; and to bring to life the untamed beauty of the Arctic for all to see.
